Qobuz draws a distinction between two very different uses of artificial intelligence.
On the one hand, AI can be used as a creative tool in the service of an artist: mixing assistance, voice processing, and assisted composition. These uses are part of the creative process and are not covered by our system.
On the other hand, there is the industrial production of content with no human creative input. Such content is identified by our detection systems, marked with a visible tag, kept out of our editorial showcases (editorial selections, new releases, Qobuzissimes, Albums of the Week, playlists), and excluded from our algorithmic recommendations.
In addition, identified fraudulent streams — including those generated by industrially produced AI content — are excluded from our reporting and royalty payments.
