We remind you that a Studio or Sublime+ subscription is required to enjoy this streaming quality, and that the Hi-Res option must be selected in the settings of your Qobuz application.
In order to enjoy Hi-Res quality on PC, it is advisable to use a sound card external to your computer and set your Qobuz application to one of the following playback modes*, WASAPI (exclusive) or ASIO.
You can stream to an external sound card in two ways:
by using a digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) of your choice that is capable of decoding digital audio files of at least 24 bits at 192 kHz.
by using Google Cast/Chromecast built-in. You can stream Qobuz to devices compatible with this service (in 24-bit at 96 kHz in most cases and up to 24-bit at 192 kHz on some devices).
*The playback modes are set through your Qobuz app by clicking on the audio devices button at the bottom right.
We recommend that you choose:
WASAPI (Exclusive mode) : this mode is available for Windows Vista and Windows 7. It is to be avoided if you do not have a powerful processor and if you prefer the ASIO.
ASIO : Audio Stream Input/Output allows up to 24-bit at 96 kHz
